The designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that, following the entry into force of the Italian Customs Agency’s new IT system, all offices of exchange (OEs) are experiencing delays in the customs clearance of inbound volumes originating from non-EU countries. Consequently, Poste Italiane is experiencing reduced compliance with the applicable service level agreement in place. Poste Italiane has taken all possible measures to minimize the impact and is in close contact with the Italian Customs Agency to support the restoration of normal operations as soon as possible. Poste Italiane thanks designated operators for their understanding and cooperation and will provide updates on the situation via EmIS as additional information becomes available.
