The Australia E-commerce Report delves into the details of the B2C e-commerce market in Australia, including connectivity, digital readiness, and device usage. The report also includes expert interviews with leaders from SAP and Asendia.

Infrastructure & Logistics

Australia is doing well in all e-commerce indices. It ranks quite highly in the Logistical Performance Index and the Ease of Doing Business Index. Its highest position across all tables is second, which is in the E-Government Development Index. Additionally, Internet Inclusivity is a strong point for Australia.

Australia is improving in the internet penetration of the general population. However, the GDP is decreasing very slightly.

E-commerce Landscape

Last year, Tasmania had the highest online shopping growth by region, followed by Victoria and Queensland. China, USA, and UK are the most popular international e-shopping destinations while Woolworths, Coles, and Apple are the most popular shopping sites. Most e-shoppers prefer online shopping mid-evening, and online payment methods are highly popular.
